Why not do 2 months of book reviews in a row?
Plus, I’ve found myself in bed most of the day feeling pretty yucky. It’s possible that whatever I managed to evade until now finally took me down.
So let’s get to it.
My February 2025 Reads:
- I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue
- Becoming Myself: Embracing God’s Dream of You by Staci Eldregde
- The Lodge by Kayla Olson
- The Half Moon by Mary Beth Keane
- Still Life by Louise Penny
- City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
- The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren
- Shark Heart by Emily Habeck

This one was a slow start for me, and I found the protagonist to be a bit whiny for my taste. But Jolene and her coworkers grew on me, and I found it sweet in the end.

We read this one as our Book of the Month inside the Dreaming Co in February and it did not disappoint. It is a powerful call for women to stand in the confidence of who God made them to be.

The Lodge was a sweet story about writing (which I always love) and what it truly means to be known. Beautiful ski town setting likable characters.

This story about pain, loss, disappointment, and how o start again felt real and relatable. I enjoyed the author’s use of flashbacks to give backstory to Jess and Malcolm’s characters in this one week timeline.

This is book 1 in the Inspector Gamache mysteries, and I enjoyed it. It’s a bit slow in the beginning, but overall, it’s a sweet, cozy mystery about a small town and the people who live there.

This one absolutely captivated me. One of my favorites so far this year. I read it in 2 days and was completely swept up by Vivian looking back at her life via a letter. It is beautifully written and will stick with me for a long time.

Another great Christina Lauren romance through and through. Fizzy and Conner captured by heart, and I even got a little teary-eyed at the end.

This was a strange yet enthralling story about love, grief, and joy. The writing is lyrical, metaphorical, and beautiful. Plus, it’s a homage to my home state of Oklahoma.

By far this month’s absolute FAVE was City of Girls. I still can’t stop thinking about it. What are you reading lately?
Until tomorrow,
